Our next door neighbor had a tree that bears fruits which keep me thinking. I don't know the name so I looked it up and I learned that they call it Surinam Cherries. Is it edible? I think so. But what interest me was the colors of the fruits in different stages. Lime color at first, then orange, then deep red when it is really ripe. That's what inspired me to paint this.
