Orchids/Cattleya

I always go the farmer’s market on Wednesdays (it’s the weekly schedule in our community) and I was surprised to see a new vendor and he’s selling orchids instead of the regular produce. I just have to check it out. The orchids he’s selling is not like the ones I see in KCC Farmer’s Market where the flowers are big. I bought one just to see how long the flowers would last. It is in the family of Cattleyas only smaller, I call it mini-Cattleya. I like the color of the flowers. It is different from the usual orchids that I see in nurseries.
It’s been two weeks and the flowers are still intact which I like. I want to enjoy the flowers for as long as I can and then I can put the plant out to wait for another season of bloom. I don’t mind waiting, like they say “patience is a virtue”.
