Bird’s Nest

I was surprised one day to see a bird’s nest fall from the mango tree. I was sweeping the fallen leaves of the mango tree which by the way did not give many fruits this year. The tree was pruned last spring and then new leaves sprouted and the old leaves fell one by one as if it’s autumn.

The bird’s nest was intact and it did not show any sign that eggs were there. I think the mother bird is still fixing the nest when it was suddenly blown by the wind. I feel bad for the bird, now she has to do it all over again. Makes me wonder how long does it take for the bird to build a nest.

Anyways, I’m keeping the nest to remind me of how hard sometimes life is but it is also comforting to know that even a small bird can build a beautiful home for their young ones to keep them safe and warm.
