Blueberries

Went to Waikele a couple of weeks ago and I came across the blueberry plants being sold at the nursery at Lowe’s. I never imagined growing blueberries here in Oahu but according to the saleslady, it is being grown in Waimanalo. So I just have to have one plant at least. Blueberries have anti-oxidants and I eat them constantly during my chemotherapy sessions. I feel it had helped me cure my cancer.
Anyways, I put the berry plant in a pot of good potting soil and kept it moist. I looked in the internet on how to care for it so I understand now that it needs acidic soil just like azalea. Also, cover the fruits with netting to protect them from birds. I can’t wait to taste the berries.
