Laurel/ Bay Leaf

Laurel or Bay Leaf is an important spice I use in my recipes. I have to buy a small seedling from a nursery for this one because obviously it won’t have seeds and I know it would take a long time for me to even try to grow it from cuttings. I just have to have it in the garden because I love to cook. Paella is my favorite to make whenever there is a special occasion and Bay Leaf is an indispensable spice for it. Menudo, Adobo, Chicken or Pork Afritada, Estofado are some dishes that also required the use of Bay Leaf.
Bay Leaf imparts such a wonderful aroma and taste to any food especially meat dishes. You can use it fresh or dried.
