Orchid Flowers

Orchids are very unusual plants. The more you care for them, the faster they die on you. But leave them alone and water from time to time and they would delight you with flowers that lasts long time. I always leave the orchid plants outdoors in the garden and when it blooms, I would take them inside our house and display them for my own amusement. It just feels good to see a living thing with colorful flowers around.
This type of orchid needs bright light to flower so it must be placed where there is sunlight but not directly. I feed the plant once a month with a 10-30-10 fertilizer, just a pinch will do. They don’t need much because in the wild they only depend on bird’s dropping for fertilizer.
They produce “keikis” (baby plants) and when they fill the pot, you can divide them and you would have more orchids to enjoy all year long.
